If you can see your gate, even though a long distance away, now you can open or close it with this new wireless trigger. There was a need for gate control when distances from the gate to the home were greater than the range of the typical garage door opener. This new device is compatible with ALL gate operators. These triggers have been developed by the SOS (Siren-Operated Sensor) company and will provide a momentary dry relay closure. The Gate Trigger� is intended to compliment, not replace the standard garage type receivers.
These trigger devices are housed in a small 4.8� x 4.7� weather proof enclosure and prewired with a small 4-conductor cable attached for ease of hookup. They will then operate as a companion product with any 22/38 dual-coded FRS/GMRS Motorola or other Base Station. A pair of them sit in a charger where they can be used to receive and send calls. They can be located in single or multiple places, such as the home, garage, or other peripheral buildings. The quality of the Base unit will determine the range, but for gate operators, the need for a range beyond a half-mile would be unusual, but doable.
One scenario would have a visitor call ahead from his cell phone and the homeowner could press �call� on one of his match coded Base transceivers to open the gate. In another scenario the visitor would drive up to a homeowners gate, notice the Gatebell� on an arched post and push it�s button to wirelessly ring one of the match-coded transceivers sitting in the home�s Base Station. The person hearing the call, could then use the other transceiver match-coded to the Gate Trigger� unit, and send a �Call� to open the gate. There are 830 code combinations useable with this system. Rural and suburban interference would be rare and easy for the owner to void.
This unique option is available for installers to use on any installation. Simple instructions are attached under the lid. It is desirable that the homeowner have a view of the area and monitor the gates movement during opening and closing.
