Technology Overview:

Gatebird is a name given to our printed circuit board. It enables useful communication between our gate control boards, DSP (Digital Sound Processing) and the dual-coded FRS/GMRS radio service technologies -- thereby operating the gate and apprising the owner of his gate's opening or closing.
Then newest and best suited radio transceeivers we use, provide over 830 privacy codes. These radios are non volatile. They remember their settings.
This is how the Gatebird works to perform its needed and useful function. When the inital call sound is received and transferred through the radio's mic/spkr. jack and processed by our new amalgamation or Bird Borad, it triggers the gate to open.
The gate begins moving, and its direction is polarity monitored to provide two distinct sound signals. A frog "ribit" sound will indicated to the sender that his gate is opening. A uniform "beeping" signal means it is closing.
These audios are transmitted back to the owner via the VOX or sound-activated mic. They even respond to any midway reversing activiity as in the case of a presence or obstruction abort. Gatebird enables long distance operation which has heretofore been unavailable to the gate industry without trenching.

I want to thank Wayne and Gatebird for their fine product and the help they provided
on my system installation.
My old short range gate opener was only operable by keypad or openers in my vehicles.
Verbally, via telephone, from Idaho to Texas, Wayne talked me through the installation of
the Gatebird system. We were able to keep and use our vehicle openers and gate
keypad to trigger the new Gatebird system. But, the best part is we can now open and
close the gate from our house, which is nearly a mile away through some trees. With the
new hand held radio we can also operate the gate from anywhere on our 320 acres. We
now know if the gate is open or closed without going to check. With the new alert sensor
installed at the gate, we also know when a vehicle passes through the open gate by the
signal sent to the house base station.
I am well pleased with my new Gatebird long range gate operator.
My thanks to Wayne and company.
Sincerely,

Here's another happy user of our "Smartie Bird" products.
Hello my name is Jan Grimm from Byron Center, MI.
After finding your website on the internet, my husband suprised me at Christmas with the "Driveway Alert" system
all installed. It works wonderful and we really love it! Our driveway is 800' - 1000' feet long and winds through
a small woods. The system works great! Thanks so much!
